I was born in Devon and grew up on a farm on the northern edge of Dartmoor, surrounded by nature. This, combined with my love of the organic flowing lines of the Art Nouveau period, continued to provide the inspiration for much of my work.

I like to create jewellery which is feminine and exciting, believeing it equally important that it is both comfortable and a joy to wear. All my work is made by hand with particular attention to fine detail. No casting is involved, so each piece is unique.

I love the translucent colours of semi-precious stones, rainbow hues of opals and subtle contrasts of silver with touches of gold, along with river pearls and mother-of-pearl to bring richness and variety to my jewellery.

My work has been commissioned by clients in America, Canada, Australia, Japan & Europe, and exhibited throughout Britain and in Canberra, Australia.

In 2001 I was awarded the Brufords Jewellery Prize for my collection of work in the South West Acadamy of Fine & Applied Arts Open Exhibition. The prize money went towards funding a trip, to visit an opal mine in Coober Pedy, South Australia, where I experuenced being lowered down a mine on a winch

I have been a member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen since 1982, now renamed, MAKE Southwest.
